For decades, its been all about who you wearing, not what. If you watch award shows, one of the 1st questions they ask the entertainers is ” Who’s piece is that. ” To them, that really matters.
The motto for Uniqque Christian Clothing, http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv, is, “ What you wear is what you represent.” We touched on that a little bit in Blog 2, Understanding Christian Apparel. So when you wearing garments that’s contrary to what you believe in, you’re representing what they believe.
Now, allow your mind to go with me for a sec and just think to yourself. You walkin in the mall and you looking fly. You got the whole coordination thing going on and someone stops you. ” What is that you’re wearing?”, and in your mind your feeling good and you are proud to say that you are wearing Christian clothing. Depending upon how fly you are looking, the impression from the other person would be like, ” Wow, I didn’t know Christian clothing could look so good.” The seed is planted and the only thing that came out of your mouth was that you was wearing Christian clothing. You have officially done your part of fashion evangelism for that moment.
The title is, There name is not His. In fashion, there is so much emphasis on the designer and you never hear about the Master Designer, which is Christ. I take this category so seriously because I’m a child of the Master Designer and for Him to bless me with this talent, I have no choice but to give Him full glory for what I do. A lot of our own Christian brothers and sisters have fallen prey to the designer disease. Which is they would break their neck to go and get a secular designers outfit. Now, I know that there are Christians designers out in the world that devote their talent to the Kingdom of God but why does it seem like finding their clothing is like finding a needle in a haystack. Should it be like that, No, but it is.
Representing Christ is mandatory. It should be done tactically and efficient of course. We not hitting folks upside the head with bibles, although some do, but that’s not tactical. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. It never forces itself on you. Somehow we rep Christ in everything else and seem to leave clothing out, like it doesn’t matter.
Rev 17:14 says, ” for he is the Lord of lords and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” The world will continue to blow up the names of others and thier god but not the only one and true God.
As a child of God, make sure you rep Christ in all that you do, including what you wear. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv
