Who’s covering you?
Can the clothes you wear cover you?
Do you know or even have a clue of who or what is covering you? Is it possible to think you are covered by someone when in actuality you’re not? Definitely something think about. Covering is something everyone wants. Think of it this way, do you sleep without cover over you at night. No, you don’t and if you have before I know you can agree that it was very uncomfortable and you didn’t get much sleep that night. When most people think of cover they think of protection, to hide or maybe to conceal. Surely we ponder on these thoughts of cover but really, can your clothes cover you. I don’t know about you but I believe that they can.
In Exodus Ch 28 and 29. The passage talks about the establishment of the priesthood involving Aar’on the Priest and his sons. God made their garments holy and for glory and beauty but Exo 29:21 gives us a better enlightenment on the beginning question. It says, “And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aar’on and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons garments with him”. Wow! Allow me to give you an understanding on this scripture in a today’s atmosphere. Notice that not only Aar’on and his sons were made holy but their garments were also made holy. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv
As true children of God we are holy. The word of God says we are holy because our father is holy. In 1 Pet 2:9, it says we are a holy nation, so we understand that we are holy. As true children of God we are priest. A priest holds a sacred office. As a believer our office is sacred. In the scripture it says we are a royal priesthood which makes us walking priest. If you are a believer you preach the word of God in your walk, in your talk, in your lifestyle but definitely a part of that is in what you wear.
You might say,” My clothes doesn’t make me holy”. Well, I’m glad you said that. In the Exodus Ch 28:1 , you can see that Aar’on and his sons were called to minister unto God. They were already chosen before the garments were even mentioned. In 28:2, God said the holy garments will be made for Aar’on for glory and beauty after they were already called to minister. In 28:3, the garments would consecrate Aar’on and his sons. Our garments should consecrate us. There should be a beauty about our garments. There should be a glory about our garments. There should be an illumination about our garments. Our garments definitely and should be made and anointed holy.
Today, if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you are covered by his blood and anointed by his love, his grace and his mercy. Our garments should also cover us. God is the King Designer. God”s designs are His creations we see everyday in our homes and when we walk outside. For God to bless me with this talent as a designer, I take this very seriously. I am commissioned but also obligated to share the word of God concerning Christian apparel and what is inside my heart for the vision of Christian apparel.
So, can your clothes cover you. Without a doubt in my mind, yes they can. I hold a sacred office inside the royal priesthood so my clothes are holy. What about yours. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv
