If You’re Clothes Could Speak

Posted in Christian Apparel, Fashion with tags , on January 24, 2009 by Sharone

Have you ever thought about asking yourself, ” If my clothes could speak “? Well, in actuality, they are speaking but are you hearing them.

Many times we have gotten dress for whatever the case maybe and our clothes started talking to us before we even put them on. But we end up putting them on anyway. Our clothes also gives off signals and signs too.  Alot of times you know you heard your clothes speaking to you but you chose not to listen. Hearing and listening are different things. Now hearing is physiological. When sound hits your eardrums, hearing occurs. There is no energy involved. But when it comes to listening, it’s a different ballgame. Listening is active. There is energy involved. Not just your ears is used but your eyes and your heart are used also.

I know this sounds kind of crazy and you might be saying to yourself, ” How does this relate to clothing “. Well, I’m so glad you were thinking that. Let’s just say that you were standing in line at a store, then, a guy walks in, robbs the place and runs out of the store. At the point of time when the guy was robbing the store you looked beside you and notice that the person standing next to you had on a police uniform. So you thinking to yourself, ” Surely this cop is going to do something”. After the robber leaves everyone that was in the store says to the cop, ” Sir, why didn’t you do anything “, and he says, ” I’m not a cop, I’m just on my way to a costume party “, so now everyone has this dumbfounded look on their face. So what was the perception?

Now be honest, you know in your mind that if you had saw the guy with the uniform on there would have been no doubt that he was a cop. The guy had all the right things going on to give you a clear argumentative belief that he was a cop. His uniform spoke to you with him saying a word making you right in the beginning and wrong at the end. You were deceived by something you were used too. Haven’t we had that happen plenty of times.

This takes me to the beginning of Mat 7:15, ”  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing “. What I want to focus on is the word false. As a believer, we have to understand that if we are not careful about what we wear, we can be easily perceived as anything else but a child of God. The garment you might have on can possibly change the whole thought process of a person or his situation at the moment of time.

I think I would be more comfortable knowing that my clothes are speaking life to everyone around me then speaking something contrary. Don’t you. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv

Who’s covering you?

Posted in Christian Apparel, Fashion with tags , on January 20, 2009 by Sharone

Can the clothes you wear cover you?

Do you know or even have a clue of who or what is covering you? Is it possible to think you are covered by someone when in actuality you’re not? Definitely something think about. Covering is something everyone wants. Think of it this way, do you sleep without cover over you at night. No, you don’t and if you have before I know you can agree that it was very uncomfortable and you didn’t get much sleep that night.  When most people think of cover they think of protection, to hide or maybe to conceal. Surely we ponder on these thoughts of cover but really, can your clothes cover you. I don’t know about you but I believe that they can.

In Exodus Ch 28 and 29. The passage talks about the establishment of the priesthood involving Aar’on the Priest and his sons. God made their garments holy and for glory and beauty but Exo 29:21 gives us a better enlightenment on the beginning question. It says, “And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aar’on and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons garments with him”. Wow! Allow me to give you an understanding on this scripture in a today’s atmosphere. Notice that not only Aar’on and his sons were made holy but their garments were also made holy. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv

As true children of God we are holy. The word of God says we are holy because our father is holy. In 1 Pet 2:9, it says we are a holy nation, so we understand that we are holy. As true children of God we are priest. A priest holds a sacred office. As a believer our office is sacred. In the scripture it says we are a royal priesthood which makes us walking priest. If you are a believer you preach the word of God in your walk, in your talk, in your lifestyle but definitely a part of that is in what you wear.

You might say,” My clothes doesn’t make me holy”. Well, I’m glad you said that. In the Exodus Ch 28:1 , you can see that Aar’on and his sons were called to minister unto God. They were already chosen before the garments were  even mentioned. In 28:2, God said the holy garments will be made for Aar’on for glory and beauty after they were already called to minister. In 28:3, the garments would consecrate Aar’on and his sons. Our garments should consecrate us. There should be a beauty about our garments. There should be a glory about our garments. There should be an illumination about our garments. Our garments definitely and should be made and anointed holy.

Today, if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you are covered by his blood and anointed by his love, his grace and his mercy. Our garments should also cover us.  God is the King Designer. God”s designs are His creations we see  everyday in our homes and when we walk outside.  For God to bless me with this talent as a designer, I take this very seriously. I am commissioned but also obligated to share  the word of God concerning Christian apparel and what is inside my heart for the vision of Christian apparel.

So, can your clothes cover you. Without a doubt in my mind, yes they can. I hold a sacred office inside the royal priesthood so my clothes are holy. What about yours. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv

Understanding Christian apparel.

Posted in Christian Apparel, Fashion with tags , on January 20, 2009 by Sharone

What is Christian apparel to you?

Is it just some t-shirts with “I love Jesus”, on them? If you think that’s christian apparel then you need to get more understanding. Hosea 4:6 says, ” My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge because they reject knowledge”. So lets get knowledge.

Christian apparel is a way to spread the word of God through the vehicle of fashion. It should preach and relay Jesus Christ without you saying a word. Yes your clothes do talk. Now, I’m not saying that Christian clothing has to have Jesus on everything or anything like that but it should have some type of difference and meaning. Give off a special glow. If you are a child of God, you are different, except it, you are. 1 Pet 2:11 NLT says,” Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here.  We are not of this world but in it.

I believe that Christian apparel is not were it should be in the fashion industry. It’s a market that is not looked at as much as it should. Fashion is more than just t-shirts. It’s hoodies, designer kicks, over the top dresses, leather jackets, denim jeans and etc. T- shirts is pretty much were Christian apparel has been for years. We have a few Christian apparel company’s that’s stepping it up but behind the power curve. Christian apparel should be ahead of the game in the fashion  industry because Christians should be and suppose to be setting the example.  I think that the reason why it’s been like that is because there hasn’t been a Christian force in the fashion industry until now, http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv. Why is it that there are no Christian clothing lines that promote Jesus Christ in major department stores like Dillard’s and Macy’s.

As a believer, it does matter what we wear. There is a standard that has to be set if you are a true child of God. We can’t just wear any and everything we want because it looks good. Did you know that there are a lot of clothing lines out there that support other Gods and things of that nature. View it like this, If you are a true christian and you get a shirt from a designer that’s an atheist or a person that hates God and doesn’t even believe in Jesus Christ would you wear that t-shirt. Wearing that shirt is representing his vision right. What you wear is what you represent.

Here is another view.  Let’s say that you walk into a boutique and you see this nice jacket done by designer le’ Sylvia. So you buy it and wear it the next night.  A week later you just happen to see the designer le’ Sylvia on TV and you find out that her vision for her clothing line is to worship and glorify the spider monkey gods. Would you keep that jacket and continue to wear it.

The bible says in Exo 34:14, “Thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is  Jealous, is a jealous God”. So if you wear a Buddhist supported garment and you are christian, is it safe to say that you are serving 2 gods. I think so. We have to have open minds about this topic which is a topic that is definitely not talked about but should be. Because a large majority of the world do love fashion and we all wear clothes.  Some say that what you wear doesn’t define who you are. Although that’s true, it would be very hypocritical for me to write this for you and in my closet is full of every secular clothing line that is out. Realize that you represent the designer and what he stands for when you place their garments on your back. http://youtube.com/uniqqueproductionstv

Is it really about how the garment looks or who designed it. What do you think?

Hello world!

Hi, I’m Danny Sermons (Owner/CEO) of Uniqque Christian Clothing. www.uniqquechristianclothing.com.  I would like to start of by sharing with you the vision of Uniqque Christian Clothing and what its all about.

UCC was given to me  by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in 2004 to minister the word of God through fashion. The foundational scripture for UCC is 1 Peter 2:9. Within that scripture it says that we are a peculiar poeple, therefore, meaning we are uniqque. Christian apparel is not where it should be and so I was given the vision to take to the next level with an understanding off christian apparel.

UCC has a meaning, a message and a mission. God is using UCC as a vessel to give a true understanding about priestly garments and the aspect of our clothes as believers. What we wear we represent, so it does matter what we wear as true children of God. Today, clothing and fashion plays a very big part in our lives and how we carry ourselves so having an understanding of christian apparel is knowledge we can always take with us and utilize when we shop for clothes.

Since 2004, I have been working diligently on providing a clothing line with elegance, style and quality for the body of Christ. UCC will start off as mens clothing line but will eventually branch into women in the future.

The clothing line is geared toward the youth and young adult generation so they can be empowered from this knowledge. UCC will show that we as children of God can express our faith through fashion and still have style at the same time. www.uniqquechristianclothing.com

Remember that what we wear we represent, so who are you representing?
